Gina Prince-Bythewood is a groundbreaking filmmaker whose work features nuanced, authentic portrayals centering Black women’s voices. From Love & Basketball to The Woman King, her films challenge traditional narratives of love and resilience.



GIRL FRIEND
Mara Brock Akil is a pioneering television writer and producer whose work has reshaped the portrayal of Black life on screen. The creator of hit series like Girlfriends and Being Mary Jane, she features complex Black characters and narratives which have influenced the cultural conversation around representation and identity in television.



I AM AN ARTIST
Sheryl Lee Ralph is an Emmy-winning actress, singer, and activist whose trailblazing career spans stage, film, and television. From her iconic role in Dreamgirls to her advocacy for LGBTQ+ rights and education, she has consistently amplified Black voices, challenged cultural norms, and inspired generations of artists and audiences worldwide.



WORTHY
Jada Pinkett Smith is an actress, producer, and cultural influencer whose work has reshaped Hollywood for Black creatives. Through her Emmy-winning Red Table Talk and her 2023 memoir Worthy, she amplifies underrepresented voices, explores identity and resilience, and inspires conversations on empowerment and social justice.



MOTHER
Jennifer Lewis, known as the “Mother of Black Hollywood,” is a powerhouse actress, singer, and author whose career spans stage, film, and television. Beyond her iconic roles, she’s celebrated for unapologetically championing mental health awareness and amplifying Black cultural narratives, leaving a lasting imprint on entertainment and representation.
