In 1969 Black Panther deputy Chairman FRED HAMPTON assembled the Chicago Rainbow Coalition, an alliance of rival street gangs and other groups created to fight poverty, racism and police brutality.

Considered by the FBI to be a radical threat, Hampton was assassinated by police at the age of 21
